A Night to Remember. Two Awards.

Last night, Sweden’s hospitality elite gathered at Berns in Stockholm for the Culinary Hotel Awards, probably one of the industry’s most prestigious recognitions of food and beverage experiences at Swedish hotels.

Falkenberg Strandbad — F&B of the Year

The F&B Award went to Falkenberg Strandbad. The most coveted prize of the evening, recognising the complete food and beverage experience from kitchen to concept, and a testament to Falkenberg Strandbad’s place at the very top of what Swedish hotel gastronomy has to offer. Congratulations to the entire team.

Sara Berntsson, Maryhill Estate — Breakfast Chef of the Year

The Breakfast Chef Award went to Sara Berntsson at Maryhill Estate. A chef with a wonderful ability to make the morning the most important meal of the day. That the industry now recognises this is thoroughly deserved. Congratulations Sara, this award is yours.

Maryhill Estate also had Klara Wåhlberg nominated in the Young Chef Award category, further evidence of the culinary talent emerging at the destination.

Two awards, two destinations — and a hotel family that left Berns as the only one to walk away from the evening with more than one.*

Culinary Hotel Awards 2026. Other nominees included Hjortviken Country Club in the Interior Award and André Åkesson, Falkenberg Strandbad in the Chef Award category.
