Travel + Leisure is America’s most influential travel magazine, with 4.8 million readers and a digital audience of millions of discerning travellers worldwide. Every year, the editorial team publishes its IT List – a meticulously curated selection of the 100 best new hotels on the planet. For this year’s list, nearly 250 hotels across 40 countries were considered. Getting on it is not an application or a nomination. It is an editorial decision made by journalists who have travelled the world and know the difference between a good hotel and a hotel that truly means something.

This year, Rox Resort is on it.

Of one hundred hotels selected from across the globe, Rox is one of only three Nordic destinations on the list – and the only coastal resort hotel in Scandinavia. It is a distinction that says something about what Travel + Leisure sees in what we have built and dreamed of on the shores of Køge.

Rox opened its doors in November 2025. 156 rooms with ocean views, three heated rooftop pools, Birdcage bar and restaurant Smith. A place built to feel like a destination rather than an overnight stay. Five months later, one of the world’s most respected travel magazines has chosen to spotlight Rox to its global audience. We could not be more proud.
