Cookie Policy ESSGROUP

Our website uses cookies to improve the website and your experience. With this text, we want to inform visitors to our website/app of how we use cookies and give a short explanation of what cookies are.

What is a cookie?

Cookies are passive text files that are saved in your web browser to store and retrieve information about your use of the website/app. Most websites/apps today use cookies to improve their functionality, which allows for a better user experience. We use cookies for similar reasons, i.e. to improve your experience and the functionality of the website, and to analyse how our website is used. Web beacons or other similar files can also be used for these purposes. We use the term “cookies” in this policy to refer to all files that gather information in this way.

What cookies do we use?
There are two types of cookies: session cookies and persistent cookies. A session cookie only exists while you are on a website and disappears when you leave it. The other type is permanently stored on the visitor’s computer as a small text file.

Cookies can be disabled and your existing cache of cookies can be emptied using your browser settings. However, we do not recommend this as cookies help us improve your experience on our website. You can learn more deleting cookies here https://www.aboutcookies.org/how-to-delete-cookies/

Cookies on our website can be divided into four categories:

Strictly necessary cookies
Some cookies are necessary for the operation of our website, e.g. allowing us to identify users so that they can log into their accounts. If you choose to disable these cookies, you will not be able to access your account.

Performance cookies
We use cookies to analyse how visitors use our website and to monitor the website’s performance. This allows us to quickly identify any problems. For example, we can use performance cookies to determine which pages are most popular. We can also use cookies to show you links to other pages that we think you may be interested in based on previously visited pages.

Functionality cookies
We use functionality cookies to remember your preferences, for example to remember the changes you have made to your account settings. We may also use cookies to provide you with other services, such as showing you video clips on our website.

Marketing and tracking cookies
We and our third party advertisers use cookies to serve you with ads that we think are relevant and interesting to you. For example, if you look up an artist or event, you may see ads for the same artist or event, or similar artists or events, on our website and other websites that you visit.

Third party cookies
Third party providers display ads on websites. Third party providers use cookies to display ads based on your visits to this and other websites.

Right to opt out

In addition to the described methods for disabling cookies, you can prevent the specified targeting technologies by using a corresponding cookie setting in your browser. You can also deactivate preference-based advertising by using the preference manager available here.

Change browser settings

You can change your browser settings to limit which cookies can be used. These settings can normally be found under “Options” or “Settings” in your browser menu.

More information can be found here, or in your browser’s help menu:

Cookie settings in Internet Explorer
Cookie settings in Chrome
Cookie settings in Firefox
Cookie settings in Safari

Remember that if you change your settings and disable cookies, this may make some functions on our website unavailable and you may not make full use of all parts of the website.

  1. Google Analytics

In order to adapt the design and continually optimise our websites, we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service for Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies, third party cookies, and text files which are stored on your computer and which allow for analysis of how you use the website. In this context, pseudo-anonymous user profiles are created and cookies are used. The information generated by the cookie regarding your use of the website includes:

browser type/version,

operating system,

referral URL (previous page visited),

name of host computer used to access the website (IP address),

time of server query

On behalf of ESS Group, Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on web activity and provide services relating to the use of the website and internet usage to the website owner. The IP address that is transmitted through your browser as part of Google Analytics is not linked to other data from Google. You can prevent the storage of cookies by a corresponding setting in your browser, however this may lead to you not being able to use all functions on this website to their full extent. You can prevent the registration of data generated by the cookie and your use of the website (including your IP address) in Google, and Google’s processing of this data by downloading and installing the browser plugin at this link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=se.

As an alternative to the browser plugin, you can prevent Google Analytics registration on mobile devices by clicking here. An opt-out cookie is then created, preventing future registration of your data when visiting this website. The opt-out cookie only applies to this browser and only to our website, and it is stored on your device. If you delete cookies in this browser, you must reactivate the opt-out cookie. More information about data protection and Google Analytics can be found on the Google Analytics website.

You can find Google Inc’s privacy policy at http://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/

  1. Use of Google Adwords

Our website uses the Google Adwords service. Google Adwords is an online advertising service from Google Inc. (“Google”).

We use the remarketing function of Google Adwords. The remarketing function allows us to show ads for users on our website on other websites that are part of Google’s display network based on their interests. To do this, the user’s interactions on our website are analysed, for example with regards to the offers they have been interested in, in order to keep showing targeted ads to the user after the visit to our website. To do this, Google saves a number in the browsers of users who visited certain Google services or websites in Google’s display network. This number, referred to as a cookie, is used to register the visits made by these users. It is used for unambiguous identification of browsers on a certain computer, and not for the identification of a person. No personal data is stored.

You can disable Google from using cookies by following this link and installing the browser plugin: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin.

For more information about Google’s remarketing function and Google’s privacy policy, see: http://www.google.com/privacy/ads/.

  1. Google Conversion Tracking

We use conversion tracking as part of Google AdWords. If you click on an ad which is displayed by Google, a cookie is archived for conversion tracking on your computer/device. These cookies are valid for 30 days, contain no personal data and are not used for personal identification. The information obtained through the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have consented to conversion tracking.

You can prevent the storage of cookies through your browser settings. However, it should be noted that this may prevent you from fully using all functions on this website. You can also disable interest-related ads on Google and interest-related ads on websites (within Google’s display network) in your browser by clicking ”Off” or deactivating   http://www.google.se/settings/ads at http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ . More information about your preferences in this respect can be found at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/?fg=1.

  1. Social media plugins

Our websites utilise plugins for social media such as Facebook, Youtube and Google+ to provide information about our company. The underlying advertising purpose is considered a legitimate interest according to the General Data Protection Regulation.

By logging out of social network sites and deleting stored cookies, you can avoid social networks collecting information about your user account while visiting www.your-look-for-less.se. If you do not want social networks to connect collected data directly to your profile via our website, you need to log out of the corresponding social networks before visiting our website. You can completely stop plugins from being downloaded using an addon for your browser, such as “NoScript” available at http://noscript.net.

  1. Facebook, Google+ and YouTube

On these website, social plugins from Facebook and Google (Google+ and Youtube) are used. The plugins concern offers from the American companies Facebook and Google Inc (“Google”). If you visit a page that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a link to Facebook and Google, respectively, and the content is obtained from these pages. In this way, your visit to this website can in some cases be tracked by Facebook and Google, even if you do not actively use the social plugin function. We have no influence over the contents of the plugins and the transfer of information.

Facebook and Google provide detailed information about the scope type, purpose and subsequent processing of your data on each site. Here you can also find more information about your rights and privacy settings.
